A week later, there was a foot of snow on the ground there!
I’ll have to head that way this weekend and see if I can get a good shot of what it looks like this time of year.

What a contrast, eh? In the depths of summer it is easy to forget the cold starkness of barren ground. This post helps me count my blessings, despite the heat/humidity. 🙂
