This reminds me of when I went to a wedding and the lady sitting in front of me had the cutest little hand print on her back. She said she had taken her daughter to the beach, put sunscreen on her, and she hugged her, putting her hand on her back. Apparently, it transferred enough sunscreen to keep that area from getting as much of a tan. It was really cute, but proved that sunscreen works.
I’ve said it before – this is one talented dog! 😀
Interesting sun cream. 🙂
Of course I have many bottles of SPF50 but mostly I just don’t go out during the day in summer if I can help it! I am So enjoying our autumn and walking LM whenever I feel like it. 😀
It’s aerosol – I burn super easily, and this is so easy to put on that I happily put it on many times a day if I am outside. The cream has always annoyed me – I’ll put it on once, and then do whatever I can not to have to do it again.
Hahahahahaha… Aw, Choppy 😀 We have a dog with very light skin (and she’s white and short-haired) who gets her nose sunburnt every time we go on walks… I need to invent a dog-safe sunscreen 🙂
Definitely important to me! My colour chart zooms from milk white to spanked lobster pretty quickly. I know better than to wear it on my head like that though.
You and me both – I go from red to pink to white once I get sunburned, too, so I never experience any level of his tan others speak of. I do, however, have a million freckles, so at least I have some color!
Good girl Choppy. I’m terrible at remembering to put sunscreen on — mostly because I just “pop out” for a few minutes. Still, I’m keeping the skin specialist in tropical holidays.
Mom has Casper the Friendly Ghost skin and bright red hair. She doesn’t need sunscreen she needs those tiles they put on the Space Shuttle for re-entry.
Ha! That’s pretty much me, too! I especially enjoy the people who comment that at least if I get a burn, it fades to a tan. Nope – I go from red, to pink, back to blinding white.
Great balancing act by Choppy. Have you ever taught Schooner to do it to compete with Choppy? Will you have any sun this weekend to need the sunscreen. Weather here in Florida has been on and off rain all weekend here. Heading back to the Keys on Wed for 5 nights/6 days to meet up with 100 people from a group I was involved with when I lived over in Cocoa Beach last year. They rent an entire condo complex (20 condos, 5 per condo). for only $ 265 for all 5 nights. It’s actually in Maraton, but I am sure we will Venture to Key West several times while there. Should be fun. Hope weather is good
Schooner knows one trick – how to sit. I would like to teach him more, but he’s just not that great of a student.
The sun here was out in full force this weekend – much sunscreen was in use!
Have a great time in the Keys – Marathon is nice. Plus, they got hit hard by Irma, so it’s good to spend a little money there (Paul and I actually spent a night there this last year). It should be a great time – and at that price, you can’t go wrong!
I tan so easily, I have to be careful. I take care of my property and so I’m out in the yard a ton…going to a wedding wearing spaghetti strap dress and a farmers tan just won’t do!
By all means, stay safe, Choppy! Nothing stinks as badly as burning fur…

Now that is how you wear sunscreen

Easier to wear it like this when you’re a dog and don’t have to worry about a sunburn so much!

I suppose wearing the container on your head will at least keep one spot from getting a sunburn! Keep it steady!

It’s better than no spots getting protection, I guess!

Yeah, I also hate the cream – it is like being covered in plastic!

Yes! And it takes FOREVER to put on, when usually all I want to be doing is whatever fun activity has me out in the sun.

A dog who gets sunburned?! I guess all the dogs I’ve ever had are black with lots of fur, so it’s never been an issue.

I’m keeping sunscreen companies in business over here so I can spend any time outdoors!

Double duty today, I see. Sunscreen is important for most of us humans. This is a good time of year for the reminder. Thanks Choppy.

Choppy is lucky in that she doesn’t need it. At least I have her to carry it around for me, though.

That’s always helpful! She’s such a good doggie.

One day we’ll have enough Sun to bother screening from it, maybe next year.

Despite our winter cold, summer sun is something we do have in abundance here.

What a good Choppy! I put sun screen on and still tan! I guess I should be happy I don’t burn. And…I wear a big hat! 😉
