We’ve got months before the truly bad weather of January and February starts. I’ll take the warmish fall weather any day!

I’ll bet you’d be surprised how many dog owners you’ve motivated to increase their dog’s exercise. This is really a win-win for dog AND owner!

I hope I have done so – it’s not why I started (though I was motivated by someone else), but it has been such an enjoyable change in lifestyle for me, I know it would benefit others as well.

Choppy looks happy. I’ve heard that a tired dog is a good dog, not happy. But, maybe they are good because they are happy. You are doing great with your walks. Remind me again as to what your goal is, please.

We’re going to try to average 2 miles per day this year, and at least 1 mile every day (our year starts in May). I didn’t do 2 miles each day, because I knew there were days when I wouldn’t be able to get in that many miles. So far, so good – we should hit 400 miles since May this month, which puts the goal pretty easily within reach!

So, even in the winter you will do at least one mile? I thought maybe you were building up so you could take a day or two off if it was brutally cold. Lofty goal. You’re well on your way, so I’m sure you can do it.

There will likely be some bitterly cold days where we walk inside (I have a treadmill), but I don’t mind walking outside if it isn’t frigid. And Choppy doesn’t seem to care, as long as her paws aren’t too cold.

You are doing great. I am doing my best to do at least 30 minutes of some type of exercise 5 days a week. Every once in a while, there just aren’t enough hours in the day.

I had to start waking up at 5:00 AM to get the walks in, so the lack of hours in the day is something I feel keenly!

I’m not an early morning person. I don’t think that would work for me. LOL

I didn’t think I was, and then I started doing it. Now, I fear I’ve become one of those people I used to think were crazy for waking up so early!
