Two days to go until we hit a year!
Because we post the Dog Walk Challenge posts the day after we take the walks, the Day 365 walk is going to take place tomorrow, with the post on it going up on Sunday. But I would like anyone who wishes to be able to virtually join us on that walk. To do that, I’m going to do a Facebook Live video. Here’s the basic information:
Time: 9:00 AM Central Time (UTC -06:00 hours)
Website: https://www.facebook.com/travelswithchoppy/
I think you should be able to view the video, even if you don’t belong to Facebook. If you can’t join us live (I know it might be a bad time for those of you who aren’t in the U.S. or are into sleeping in late on Saturdays), the video should be available afterward so you can see it that way.
Also, I should probably warn everyone: I’ve never done Facebook Live before. This could be an absolute disaster. We shall see.
Day 363 Stats:
Date: April 27, 2017
Location: Home
Length: 1.0 Miles
Who: Sarah & Choppy
A virtue dog walk sounds so great. I won’t be able to join it but hopefully, I’ll be able to view the video later. Enjoy!

That’s still great! I hope you enjoy it when you get to watch it (and I do it right so you can watch it!).

Good luck, not sure how “live” works either but hopefully we figure it out and can join in the fun.

If it fails, I’ll just have to re-try the whole thing another day!

Wow! This is exciting! 🙂
Well Done on your year long challenge and good luck for tomorrow. I’m still trying to work out the time here, so I can join you. 🙂

I’ll be of no use to you – I’d guess it is sometime late Saturday afternoon your time.

I Think I’m 7 hours ahead of you, so as I write this you should be fast asleep! I’ll try to remember to look out for you in another 5 1/2 hours! 🙂
Have a great walk.:)

We didn’t get the best weekend for walking, but it didn’t stop us!

I did manage to find you on facebook and watched little parts of your walk. (I’m not on fb so it kept shutting me out.)
Love your American accent. 😀

Ha! I forget I have an accent to others – it’s been a few years since I have been overseas. Of course, most Americans think I have an accent as well, from living as far north as I do. I guess I’m just destined to be exotic (note: no one in America would think of my northern accent as exotic, just amusing).

Accents are funny, as we never think of ourselves as having one. When I go to UK they all think I’m SA, but here they can Still tell I’m from the UK, even after many decades!
Other people are quick to point out you don’t belong.

They are – people are usually pretty nice about it. I think most are just more curious than anything. And I never mind when I’m overseas and someone wants to talk because of my accent, because I feel the same way about wanting to hear their accent!

Going strong Sarah and Choppy, going strong.

And so close to the year! One walk left and we’ll be there (as we already did the Day 364 walk this morning).

Wow, amazing – almost a year. Good for you Sarah and Choppy and some times Paul – you inspire me. 🙂

I definitely didn’t think it would ever last this long – that original 30 days seems both like a long time ago and just yesterday.

I have been walking outside here since the weather is nice and I think about you and Choppy – see, you really inspire me Sarah. 🙂

That makes my day to hear that!

What a fun idea. If I can’t make the live view, I’ll see the re-run! 🙂
CONGRATULATIONS on making one year. As a result, you’ve added a bonus year to your life. 😉

Thank you! I’ll take all the health benefits I can get – though I think I am happiest about how good Choppy looks. I’ll take any extra days I can get with her.

It’s true – our Lab was 15 when she died, the vet would always comment how Labs never lived that long. We always believed it was all the mileage we clocked with her (good diet, too, naturally – but we kept her lean. We should be able to not see but ‘feel the ribs.’)
Choppy looks great, her coat is nice and shiny.

Her coat is a lot healthier these days – I think it’s a combination of all the exercise and an improved diet. I’ve upgraded her dog food, too. We’ll see when we go to the vet in a few weeks how much weight she has lost. I’m guessing it’s several pounds at least. She’s never going to be a skinny dog, but she is at least at a healthy weight now!

I just flipped over there and it does seem like you don’t need to be a fb member to watch…
I’ll try to see you in a couple of hours! (7am comment)

I figured out how to embed the Facebook videos on the blog now – so I think I’ll do some more in the future. It was fun!

Ok, I did need to sign in… but otherwise watched the video unhindered.
Curious… can that completed video be posted on WP? I’ve been posting my videos to you tube and linking.

I could download them and upload them to YouTube – I could easily combine them if I downloaded them.
