The weather forecast for Day 225 called for snow – so we got out early and enjoyed the relatively balmy weather (it has to be warm to snow!) and got in a longish walk.
Date: December 10, 2016
Location: Jefferson, Wisconsin
Length: 2.1 Miles
Temperature: 15° F (-9.4° C)
Who: Sarah & Choppy
Despite it feeling warmer than the last few days, it was still cold enough that my phone turned itself off (yes, that happens. If you live in Wisconsin and go outside in the winter, it happens a lot). So no walk picture today.
I didn’t know that about smart phones & the cold temps. Huh. How did Schooner get down? With Sarah help or on his own?

I wish I didn’t know it!
As for Schooner, he got down on his own. I didn’t see that, either, so no idea how it happened.

He probably hopped on the hassock, first, then to the dresser. Here, today, just south of Boston, at 7 am, it was 11° & ”felt like” 3° Bbrrrrr!

Oh, so cold!! You are unfortunately in the same cold weather boat as we are!

You are dedicated. I live in South Dakota and do not go on walks in winter. Haha.

I sometimes wish I was not so dedicated (and I did ask for a treadmill for Christmas – dedication only goes so far!).

That’s crazy that it’s so cold that your smartphone turns off in your pocket.

It’s to remind you that you live somewhere very inhospitable to humans this time of year!

Bring Choppy, Schooner and Paul to Australia and live here.

I love Australia! I know I would enjoy that move!

I know some people like the cold, I just couldn’t live is Wisconsin given the temperatures you’re currently sharing on the blog 😃😂

It’s going to get worse! Come January, there are days where we will likely wish it was this warm!

Brrr…that’s not right.

Many people echo that sentiment. I grew up with it, so…yes. I want to move to Florida or Hawaii every year around January.

Yeah, I’d be looking for scratch marks on the side of the cabinet…

He is not the most agile of cats – I would not be surprised to find scratch marks!

Maybe Schooner ordered a Grappling Hook on Amazon.

Well, everyone here has been spending too much time on the Internet. I just hope they haven’t found the credit cards or a grappling hook will be the least of our problems!

He’s getting good at the leaping exercise!

So it seems – though this is more of an anomaly than anything. He misses a lot of jumps (or doesn’t end up taking them), because he is not the best at jumping.

Relativity and perspective. Yup, that’s what calling 15 degrees is. Bravo for keeping with the walk schedule ;).

It’s getting a lot worse this week than it has been – I have to keep some perspective, or I would never go out (though I am asking for a treadmill for Christmas because there is a point where it’s probably unsafe to go out there!).

I wish I didn’t know the phone thing – it suggests I have spent a lot of time out in the cold!
