Day 134 took us back to Notre Dame – where Paul and I met while we were at law school many, many years ago. Choppy is staying with my parents for the weekend, chasing their cat and the many woodland creatures who populate the woods around their house. I’m pretty sure everyone is happy with this!
Date: September 10, 2016
Location: Mishawaka, Indiana
Length: 1.1 Miles
Who: Sarah

So Choppy is going on a sleep over 🙂 Shame, Schooner is really going to miss her. 🙂

Tonight Schooner has us both to himself – I think he likes that part!

A sweet captured moment, getting along, no biting or chasing. 😉 So who looks after Schooner – or is he left with his big dish of food and water and a litter box to fill?

For a short weekend away like this, he just gets extra food and water. When we come home, he is very happy to see us – and he wants a lot of affection!

Cats are nicely independent that way. 🙂

It’s one of the things cats have going for them over dogs!

😍 Choppy & Schooner, that is a very special, snuggily photo! It’s good to be pals! Nice crock in the front, Sarah & Paul!

The crock was a wedding gift – it’s quite nice!

No, it did not! These two can go from buddies to enemies in mere seconds!

Nice for everyone to get away, but probably mostly for Choppy to have a break from Schooner! 🙂
btw where does Schooner go?

Schooner hangs out at the house – he gets extra food and water and engages in all sorts of bad behavior while we’re gone.

haha I’m sure! 🙂
My daughter leaves her maine coon cat for the weekend, but can only fill 3 of the 4 automatic feeder compartments, as the little minx can break into one, and of course, eats the food the moment they have left!
I saw the Happy Cat Dance once when I was skyping my other daughter, who was house-sitting for her sister, and had left the automatic feeder on, as it was easier. The mad cat was springing around the apartment, bouncing off walls and furniture, knowing is was feeding time. Then the feeder went off, with a recorded message from my daughter, saying “What time is it?” hahaha
The cat already knew! It Lurves its food! 😀

Ha! These cats are far more into food than Schooner – he always has a half full dish and he eats when the mood strikes him. Paul is in charge of feeding him, but from what I can tell walking by the dish, the food doesn’t go down very quickly. And Choppy leaves it alone, too! She does the same with her own, though. Neither of them is a ‘eat all the food now before it disappears’ animal!

Wow, all my dogs have polished off all their food – and even a second helping, when someone has fed them again, thinking they’d not had breakfast yet! 🙂
As to Schooner’s food, there’d be no chance Any would be left lying in his dish if LM was in the house! 🙂

Choppy used to be a cat food eater, but she stopped as she got older. I think it was mostly something she did with my parents’ cats to annoy them.

haha Could easily be. 🙂 Whereas with LM – it’s just FOOD! Anybody’s will do – mine, SL’s, squirrel food! 🙂

Aww it’s a nice change to see such a sweet moment between them rather than their usual passive aggressive signs haha

She does – at least until she decides to move. Then she makes a decidedly bad pillow!

He is sweet to her – when he wants to be. When he doesn’t want to be…well, we’ve all seen what he’s like when he isn’t sweet!

It always reminds me of the “Cats and dogs living together, mass hysteria!” line in Ghostbusters when I see them together like this.
