Technically, we also walked over a mile at Notre Dame on Day 36. It’s just that the first walk was in the middle of the night, after the Reunion festivities. We did see a skunk, which was exciting. I’m only putting the second of our walks here on the blog – but it was an exciting one.
Date: June 5, 2016
Location: Home
Length: 1.0 Miles
Who: Sarah & Paul
They are – though the weather this weekend is supposed to be positively oven-like, which I don’t enjoy. I’ll have to wake up quite early to get our longer weekend walks in!
We’ve had a good amount this year – not too much, not too little. Happily, it rained while we were away this weekend, so my plants didn’t get too crispy!
hahaha It is so weird when weather creeps up on you like that! I have had it too. Brilliant sunshine ahead, and when I turned round to look at my dogs, the mountain had disappeared in blackness!
At least you entertained the neighbours! 🙂
We barely got that mile in, but we did (of course, I could have used the very early morning walk if necessary, but I’m not sure anyone wanted to see blurry pictures of a skunk!).
I’ve had a few wet walks myself. Sometimes the rain comes in quickly. Those clouds do look pretty menacing. Glad you made it “mostly” home before the downpour.
The sky did change suddenly and you captured great weather clouds and fronts moving in, Sarah! I am happy you are reunited with Choppy and Schooner. 🙂 Hope you liked your college reunion at N.D. so glad you and hubby get to share this together. 🙂
My old dog chased one and caught it in his mouth. He was so proud of himself. We had taken him to Dairy Queen with us and then we had to drive the whole way home stinking of skunk. It was awful!
Oh, that’s horrible. I am not sure if I would ever return to DQ if I had to sit in a skunky car post-trip (OK, maybe I shouldn’t go that far. I hear they have funnel cake now).
I think you know what i am going to write…..

She’s back! Already sitting by my chair and impatiently waiting for me to be done with work.

She was huffing and puffing after our walk today. She gets a few days off, and she is having a rough go of it!

We have to do that with Archie otherwise it is too much for him in the heat. Just as well I like walking more than I like my bed!!

It is nice to just get up and get outside – though there are definitely some days, weather-wise, when the bed seems like a better idea!

They were actually making fun of us as we ran – I can’t say I wouldn’t do the same, though!

Well, sure, who wouldn’t! 😀
But I bet it was all in good friendship 🙂

Wow look at that sky, a run not a walk!

Oh, it definitely was a run – and we still didn’t quite make it before the skies opened up!

I think we missed the worst of it – though that doesn’t mean we didn’t get wet!

It’s a great thing to have in common – especially because both of us love it so much.

Has Choppy ever experienced a skunk before?

She has searched for some at my parents’ house. Luckily, no run ins yet.
