A few more pictures from when my sister was in Alaska with Choppy and me (though Choppy does not appear in these pictures, she was there).
There is a (mostly) two-lane highway between Anchorage and Fairbanks. This? This is a plane that had landed on that road, presumably because of the weather. However, as this is Alaska, I am not ruling out “because the pilot felt like it” as the reason it landed on the road. It’s a little hard to see this, but as you can see, this is a place for pony rides. However, I’m pretty sure that animal in the back right is not a pony. Even in Alaska.Important note on this bullet-destroyed sign: it was about ten feet from the road between Anchorage and Fairbanks.A grizzly! In the wild!Or not so much. I love cropping.A picture from our trip to the Ice Museum (and bar!) at Chena Hot Springs, outside of Fairbanks. It’s a bar and building made out of ice, and yes, it was very cool (pun intended). Here is a picture of my sister and me having drinks at the bar. To paraphrase my sister on this photo, guess which one lives in Minnesota?
