Another week of walks is in the books – the weather here has been, for the most part, just beautiful. I’m putting in a lot of miles and enjoying them immensely.

Choppy and I scared up many deer through here over the years – I didn’t see one over this last weekend when I took this picture, but it was beautiful whether or not there was wildlife involved.

Walks are good for the soul, even without your trusty companion. Beautiful walks like this one help heal hearts and souls.

Great stats again this week! It’s nice that you have a mowed pathway through the woods. Keeps the ticks down, right?

That’s the hope – I’ve only had one this year so far, which is much lower than normal (and I caught it while it was just hanging out on my clothes).

I drag an old curtain around my yard in April when they first come out and pick up a lot that way. I pluck them off and put them in soapy water to drown them. Then I get to see the positive results of my labor. 🙂 Our yard and fields (about 2 acres) yielded close to 100 ticks that won’t be getting on Wren, spreading disease or reproducing. Yay!
