Every morning on our walk, I stop to talk to one of my neighbors (he also gives Choppy treats). She has gotten so lazy she now just lies down to wait while we talk.

A gentleman in a nearby neighborhood always had treats for the local dogs on their morning walks. Many a friend and good conversation was begun over the ritual of the dog treats. He passed and the house was sold. The local dogs mourned his passing for many weeks…resolutely sitting and not budging from the front of his house, dragging their owners by the leash to his driveway, and turning down his street looking around with anticipation and inquiring barks. New owners don’t appreciate the attention and have put a sign up warning off the dogs and their owners.
