We’re up to 800 days in a row for our Dog Walk Challenge – quite a feat for something that was only supposed to last 30 days. On weeks like this, it’s very easy to get walks in. The weather was just about perfect every single day, and you’ll see we got some long walks done this week.

I’m definitely not keeping up with Choppy on this particular walk.

Wow! 800 consecutive days! Well done Choppy …. and good that you coaxed Sarah along as well. 🙂

I am the reluctant one of the pair – Choppy would definitely have a longer streak if she was in charge.

I definitely did not expect to ever get to 800 days. Now, the problem is that I will basically have to break a leg to stop (and even then, I will probably still try to do it!).

It is the endorphins that keep us happily going. I used to swim 2km everyday and walk 3 km alternate days. But since my spine and neck gave way, I cannot swim anymore. I miss the laps I swim with the sun beating down on me. I feel your desire to keep walking. One day you will achieve the distance to lil red dot ! Out of curiousity with all that distance you chalked, where on the map have you reached ie which US state or if you mark it towards Canada or South towards SF?

That’s a good question! Based on a quick (and only somewhat accurate) calculation, I think it would be from here to Los Angeles.

WOW! That is far indeed! Keep going and soon you will be walking all the down to south America!

800 days – so impressive! And a couple days over 5 miles – you two must be the epitome of ‘fit and trim!’ 🙂

I’m hoping to get another long walk in tomorrow – though the weather may not cooperate.

That’s some bodacious mileage. Have you considered just strapping Choppy on to a treadmill while Mom has a glass of wine? 😄😈

Ha! Now that would be the way to rack up the miles!

Whatever speed I’m going, it’s not the speed Choppy wants to be going. I’m just glad she is good off-leash so we can both go the speeds we like much of the time!
