Last weekend, I posted a picture of the robin’s nest on our front porch. Since I took that, the robin laid another egg and…well, you can see for yourself what happened after that.
I shall keep braving Mama Robin’s wrath to get pictures of these guys – further updates to come!
Absolutely beautiful! Thank you for sharing such a great picture!

Thanks! There will be more to come (even though I have to face Mama Robin’s wrath to get any of these shots).

How wonderful Sarah. This is more precious than anything I’ve taken recently.

I got another great shot this morning – the babies are definitely getting bigger (and Mama Robin continues to be very upset with me).

It’s amazing how quickly they grow……they’ll be fed lots of worms…..in my daughter’s yard the babies were fed strawberries as well.

Ooh! They are definitely getting bigger. I got a good shot this morning – they’re now begging (and don’t seem to know I’m not going to be giving them anything).

According to my bird app, they incubate for 12-14 days (there was some time in between pictures not accounted for in blog time). The chicks should be in the next for another two weeks after that, so maybe another 10 days or so.

So far, so good – they’re extremely protected where they are. I took a new picture this morning, and they are definitely getting bigger (and begging for food).

I am completely jealous! We had a wrens nest in our ivy and I couldn’t get near!

I’m just glad Paul noticed the nest – it’s in a place where I probably wouldn’t have, based on how I water that particular hanging plant.

That’s great. Hope they all survive. I had some wrens in a potted plant one year. I didn’t look at them for a couple of days and they were gone. So, I never knew if they flew the nest or something, like a stray cat or snake got them. I prefer to think they flew away.

Yes! And perhaps they’ll come visit this winter when they (smartly) leave us in Wisconsin for warmer weather.

He has to stay in the house, so the robins are safe from him at least!
