A little throwback to Christmas. Just kidding! This was Wisconsin on April 19. Yes, a mere two months ago we were all shoveling and plowing our way through several inches of snow here.

Seems like eons ago! Like all my flowers & growing veggies much better.

It definitely seems like it couldn’t have been two months ago – it must have been longer. I mean, in two months from now, it will still be summer.
And I’m with you – I prefer the growing garden much more!

Count me as yet another one who had that look on her face. That was a horrible storm.

Sarah, I remember those days back in the early 90’s when doing my master’s program at Syracuse University. Seemed like winter would never end. I remember we were in to late Apr and early May and the snow kept coming. It was crazy!

Oh, Syracuse gets so much snow – even worse than here! I am not sure how well I would do with that.

I like seeing the snowy views best when it’s summer (and I don’t have to shovel!).

It’s like Northern Michigan, where my folks live… 2 seasons: August and winter

Ha! That’s a good one. Or, as we sometimes say, winter and bad sledding, or winter and road construction.

I was chatting to a lady in my husband’s office yesterday who said that she keeps having to tell people off for moaning about the heat given the winter they experienced. I was just happy that the snow abated before I arrived. I mean, I love snow, really LOVE snow but not in summer ðŸ¤

I’m sure you’ll get plenty of it this next winter go-round, without having to deal with it in the summer. I’m hoping it at least holds off until November or December!
And I was definitely reminding myself last week when things warmed up here that it was far better than the snowy alternative of (at the time) less than two months earlier.

I had almost forgotten about the snow – almost.

With some of the upper 90’s we had recently I actually wouldn’t mind a bit of shoveling!

I’ll take the 90s – though I will still probably complain a little about it.

She wasn’t the only one that week!

Great doggie. However, that is the same look I get when I come home and someone eats the last of the leftovers I was thinking about at work.

Wisconsinites will bitch about snow and cold in winter and then forget they did that while complaining about heat and humidity during the summer. It’s an annual ritual. Something almost passed down from generation to generation. Part of the culture here like beer, cheese and brats …and the Packers. We love what we love. Checkout our culture at wiscoculture.com. On FB and Instagram @wiscoculture as well. Here’s to fall, something almost all of us love.
