Last fall, I planted some unusual, heirloom daffodils – I know some of you (like Eliza) are interested in these sorts of things, so here is a picture of them (with Choppy, of course).
There are numerous other fun plants coming up I planted last year, including several I don’t remember planting and thus have no idea what they are. I guess we’ll see when they flower!
Nice photo of Choppy. She is so photogenic.

Thanks! She is definitely photogenic – though that day she really didn’t want to get her picture taken. She just wanted to get going on her walk!

They are extremely cool – the pictures of them last year made me buy them. The real things were even better than the pictures.

Congratulations on your gardening success; they are very unusual daffodils.
Choppy looks enormous from this angle – like a sort of Godzilla. 😀

I had to pose her in a way where she didn’t smoosh any of my other flowers there – it was rather difficult!

haha I understand that. LM will Always sit on the plant I am trying to photo. 🙂

Choppy is better at stepping on them than sitting on them. The result is the same, whether she does either.

Very cool! Those daffodils look kinda dahlia-ish. Never seen any like them.

I hadn’t either – but I had to test them out when I saw them in the store last fall. I may have to procure some more this year, because they are very cool.

Flowers and Choppy, an excellent combo!

Yes they are! Well, until Choppy steps on a flower. Then they aren’t a great combo at all.

Most unusual daffys, to be sure. And the pairing of nature’s beauty with Choppy’s peaceful countenance is lovely Spring photo.

They are unusual – I do love them. They are even better in person than they were on the photo I had of them in fall (I was worried the photo exaggerated their actual look).

Nice! Looks like ‘Rip Van Winkle.’ Choppy makes a nice Vanna White. 🙂

They are! I have it written down somewhere, but couldn’t find it before I set up the post. I kept thinking it had something to do with “twinkle.” I was close!
I also have some heirloom tulips that came up really well. I like them more than the more modern ones. There is some unknown set of flowers coming up now, too. I can’t remember at all what I planted there, though. And they don’t resemble anything I recognize. I guess it will be a surprise!

You need a plant map, but surprises are good, too!

I do – it’s one of those “to do” list items that never gets to the “done” list. And I planted some new lilies this morning before work, which means there are even more plants that need to get added.
