This was a very cold week for walks – the treadmill got plenty of use. However, the next week is looking to have several really pleasant days for walking. No complaints from me on that!

Thank you – we had a beautiful night for a walk last night, which made it easy to get a good picture.

That’s great! I wish my baby girl would walk and not stop every 5-10 seconds to sniff something!

Oh, Choppy would like to walk that way. Thankfully, I can let her off of her leash on our walks so she can smell to her heart’s content, and I can keep walking. Eventually she catches up with me (as the giver of treats, I can’t be out of her sight for too long).

That makes sense!
I will take Amber off hers when nobody is around. If there are other dogs, she would run and bark at them and it scares people even though I know she’s just being friendly.

We live right on the edge of the country, so we’re lucky in that we don’t have many other people or dogs we see.

It may be crisp but there are a couple extra minutes of sunlight that can’t be beat each day. Woo-hoo. Here’s to more miles in your hood.

Those extra minutes are amazing. You can see the start of the sunrise on our morning walks now. It makes it seem like spring isn’t too far away.

It was a bitter couple of weeks. Glad for the reprieve.
Lovely golden light. SO glad the days are growing longer!

I see the beginnings of sunrise in the morning – it’s like I can see spring coming. And, there is a chance we get to walk in the sunlight in the afternoon now, too – as we did yesterday (when I took this picture).

I think we had 12 days of Penguin weather….fridgid…below zero windchills…yesterday above freezing & today got up to 43° 😮 & 🌞 is setting at 4:30 today…so much longer light!

That extra light at the end of the day is wonderful. It almost makes up for the frigid temperatures.

Looks like a nice walk. You’re doing wonderful, keeping it up! We are having a reprieve too, this week. May get into the 60’s by Thursday, but back to the 20’s as highs next weekend. The roller coaster effect makes it hard to get used to any form of weather – cold or warm, though, I prefer the warm.

It warmed up today, and promptly got windy here. I really dislike the wind – I don’t mind the cold temperatures as much if we don’t have wind to accompany them.

I’m with you. The wind is not my friend during the winter.

Thanks! We are definitely excited about our nicer weather. It’s only temporary, but I’ll take even a few warm days if I can get them.
