Good news! Don’t know if you have it over the pond but we can now get nitrate & nitrite free bacon over here, http://www.finnebrogue.com/naked/. No more risk of colorectal cancer caused by the nitrates in processed meat! (No worms either!)
You can buy Nitrate & Nitrite free bacon, hotdogs & sausages here. I just made almost 3 qts of soup, today with Boar’s Head (since 1905) ‘N&N’ free chicken & bacon sausages, lots of veggies & organic elbow macaroni.
Do my very best to not eat added chemicals, few processed foods, no food coloring, 3 adult kids don’t drink soda, don’t smoke (they stopped)….everything possible non GMO or organic!
It’s a holiday that is easy to celebrate without even meaning to (and tasty as well). I celebrate it many times a year, on days when it isn’t even a holiday!
Choppy does seem to like this outfit! She must know that real bacon is coming in the near future. I just hope that Schooner didn’t think it was real and try to take a bite. 😉
I wonder if this would help my son get over his fear of dogs…if they were all dressed as bacon. Or would something much worse occur that he would think that’s where bacon comes!?
