I actually agree with Schooner today: I need my port products! LOL Too cute. Not sure I would like bacon and ice cream together though. But, then again, I don’t like syrup on my bacon either.
Funny enough, I think I like ice cream more on a cold day than on a warm one (so long as I am eating the ice cream inside on a cold day – I don’t think I would want to be eating it while on a walk with Choppy these days).
Yes it is. Choppy and I did our normal morning walk for only the second time this week today. I’m already looking forward to the warm spell coming up (note: it won’t actually be warm, but it will be 20+ for our walks, which is balmy compared to our recent walks!).
We have it here for humans – we also have local spicy Malay food dishes made into ice cream for taste. It is novel but I doubt it sells well or not as well as Salty Caramel or Chocolate 😉 We are a bunch of adventurous food people LOL!
When I was expecting my first daughter I actually DID eat ice-cream and bacon for a while – vanilla for the avoidance of doubt, chocolate would have been gross, no? ðŸ¤
Vanilla definitely sounds better with bacon. I don’t think it sounds bad at all – it’s that nice combo of sweet and salty that sometimes just hits the spot. I’ve been known to order french fries to dip in a McDonald’s sundae when the right mood hits me!
A pair with discriminating taste, I see! 🙂

How sad! You could fry up some bacon for them!

I’m sure we’ll find them some!

There are some really weird ice cream flavours out there – so why not bacon? 😀

Why not? I bet someone is already doing it. These two just need to find that person.

I believe they would actually. At least something to unite them 🙂
Really, Sarah, you are talented coming up with all this.
Cheers.

I’m the opposite – I like that sweet/salty combination. Not every day, but many days. I think I would like the bacon/ice cream combo.

I actually am a potato chip and dip – aholic. But, I do love my bacon and sausage. I’m not really into sweet things that much, but salty…..

As soon as I have chips and dip in the house, I will pig out – I love them so much.

I try to not buy them because they won’t last long in this house. No will power when it comes to chips and dip, for sure.

I’m the same way – though I will buy Paul types of chips he likes and I don’t. No danger there for me!

You get icecream for pets?

Yup – Choppy loves it. She doesn’t get it every day, but every time she gets it, he loves it.

🙂 what sort of milk does it have (or is it “icecream” in terms of being frozen rather than containing some sort of cream?

It is the latter – no milk.

A bit too cold for me to be eating ice cream, but I think these two wouldn’t mind so long as it is bacon-flavored. 😉

It’s been rather bitter here, too. Hard to get the enthusiasm up for a walk. 😉

Yeah, about 17 is my comfort limit. 😉 Today it took until noon to get there.

Still, ice cream is enticing. Maybe Choppy can crumble some bacon bites into it.

Frosty Paws for Humans.
1 cup coffee ice cream (I like Valpo Velvet from Northern Indiana)
3 cups vanilla ice cream
4 Tablespoons heavy cream
4 Tablespoons amaretto
4 Tablespoons Kahlua.
Soften ice cream, mix with rest of ingredients and freeze.
Really good on fresh baked brownies.

Sounds like something a lot of people I know would like – me who avoids coffee will probably just stick to what I love best – chocolate!

You are! There is supposedly a place near my office which has odd flavors – it’s a Mexican restaurant, so lots of spicy things in the ice cream.

You should – you won’t regret it (I mean, even if you don’t combine them, who doesn’t like fries and ice cream?).
