OK, I’m not sure it’s the first picture we ever took of Schooner, but it’s close – this is him in the kitten room at the humane society, having a bite to eat. That tail makes him easily identifiable, even at this young age!

Schooner is lucky to live with you and Choppy! You are kind to adopt Schooner🤗🤗Garfield hugs💕💕

I think he’s lucky. Now, Choppy, she would probably take him back to the humane society in a heartbeat!

That tail is like a magicans wand! I’m so glad you all found one another ☺

We are, too (though some more than others, and some days more than others!).

It’s special to have an identifiable feature. He has a long tail for a kitty. I can’t figure out what ‘that dark thing’ is on the left 🤔🤔 on the white mat. I wonder if the other kitty is a sibling?

I think it was a stuffed toy or a blanket – definitely not a cat. And doesn’t that other cat look related to Schooner? He probably was.

Who drowned that mouse? Bet it was Schooner.

I wouldn’t be surprised – we are regular fishers of cat toys out of water dishes!

also: what a nice clean place for the kitties to eat & play. Fresh paint….lots of dishes…so caring & loving 😍

It’s a wonderful humane society. They have several rooms for the cats who play well with others to live in, so they aren’t stuck in cages. Not all the cats get to be out, but those who do must love it!

Kittens are just adorable – they have to be, for all the trouble they cause (the same goes for puppies!).

First reaction…double trouble. 😇 But what cuties. Bless you for rescuing Schooner.

If Paul had been in charge of the situation, we’d have rescued a lot more cats than just Schooner!

…..you better be very aware of Paul’s trips! 😮🙈

I live in fear of the day when he shows up with a kitten he found – because it’s not like I’m going to be able to say no to a kitty in need.

It looks super long in this picture – it’s still long, but usually doesn’t look quite like this!

Awww. He was adorable (and still is).

And now he’s (usually) calmer and better behaved. I like both of those things immensely.

Very cute! I’m curious. Was the tail one of the reasons you chose him over his litter mate?

For me, it was definitely a factor – but we also saw him eat well and use the litter box, so that figured a lot!

Those other two things are important!
