It turns out, over the summer, I messed up the mileage calculations on the walks – I had been giving us an extra mile or so of walks for a while now! I caught the error, and all is corrected this week. I’m just thankful I hadn’t overestimated the walks by ten or twenty miles – that’s a lot of ground to make up!

Heading up to Potter’s Field – I will have an update on it in the next few weeks. Right now, I’ve got lots of material, so things are getting scheduled out a ways – it’s a good thing, because come winter, you’re all going to get tired of yet more pictures of the snow-covered fields that all look exactly alike.

Gold star for you today! (We apparently have low standards on the giving out of gold stars.)

As a rowdy nursery school attendee, I NEVER got a gold star. I accept this “low standard” award with much appreciation! 😀

Note to self, don’t count paw prints when measuring walks. They have double the steps. Seriously Sarah and Choppy…keep up the good work!

Think of how many miles we could get in with those extra feet!

And if I took Schooner, think of the mileage!

I haven’t worked out how far we walk Maggie yet. Town is a definite half a mile each way, and the beach probably half a mile there and back plus however far we walk on the sand.
The new Avenue is about half a mile too I suppose and I do that at least three times a day, so by my reckoning I am keeping up with my exercise (though haven’t walked into town on a regular basis). If I can average between 2 and 3 miles every day, I should be fine. I walked a little further to explore the area and found myself way further up towards town than I though. I was shattered when I got back!

You’ll get all the distances sorted soon, I’m sure – it does sound like you’re nice and close to so many things with the new place. That has to be great.

Ah, you guys have done great anyway….what’s a little miscalculation here and there…. 🙂 Well done !!! 🙂

So long as it wasn’t too much of a miscalculation, I was OK! I can make up a mile or so any day.

I never thought it would get this far when I started, but I’m so happy it has.

Being outside is the most important thing – mileage, mere details. 😉

We got stuck inside this morning thanks to a downpour – hoping it is nicer this afternoon for a walk. I don’t want to be stuck on the treadmill again.
