I’m pretty sure Schooner is afraid of pineapples. At least, he looks like he might be based on how far away from it he is standing in this picture.

Pineapples are his cucumbers?

They might be – he doesn’t seem too worried about cucumbers when I break them out.

I’m allergic to cats, and by far more of a dog person. However, I used to have a cat in my youth and – for some reason, yours keeps stealing the limelight. First of, is it a girl? That she is still wearing the Lei is amazing. And then, because it seems like she likes IT! Do I look pretty? Oh, so pretty? Where are my fans? Where’s the camera, I’m ready for my close-up. (away from the dog please, eyes here, just on me) And I think your doggie, he frankly looks pissed off at you. hahahaha

Schooner (the cat) is very good at stealing the limelight, at least when he actually decides to pose for the camera. Schooner’s a boy, Choppy is a girl (though she looks very masculine). And she actually seems to love getting dressed up – as soon as I go near her tubs of costumes, she gets excited about taking a picture.

Choppy just seems unhappy in this one (ears back)

Schooner does look remarkably pleased with wearing the Lei. Choppy just looks stoic 🙂 🙂

She just does whatever I want her to and waits for her treat. Schooner really doesn’t mind the leis – I need to find more holidays where it is appropriate for him to wear one.

Great! Now they are ready for Hawaii, and the first shooting of “Schooner the private investigator”. 😉

Just so long as I get to go with them to Hawaii, I’m all for them heading there!

Sorry, forgot the distance, and the need of animal passports.

I think they can go to Hawaii from here without passports – after all, it is part of the U.S.!

Oh, sorry i forgot. 😉 But thats really freedom also for the animals. Inside Europe they need passports. Have a nice weekend. Michael

We can go up to Canada with our dogs – you just need proof of their shots and you’re OK.

Great! With your blog you can use their artistic work for identification too. 😉 Have a blessed sunday. Michael.

Schooner is very smart! Kitty paw-pads & pineapples should never be in contact with eachother.

Nor should people tongues – I have to do a better job of getting the eyes out of the pineapples when I core them!

The tops of a pineapple can be unforgiving ! Schooner is wise to stay clear. Choppy you are the brave one 🙂 I must say, Schooner looks so proud 🙂

I actually tried to balance the pineapple on Choppy’s head – it was a bit too heavy, even for her!

Cats are weird and pointy. Pineapples are weird and pointy. Stands to reason that both are standoffish around each other. There’s a lot of ouch to be had.

This is a theory I can get behind.

I love pineapple, especially on a burger. Stay away Schooner, give me all the pineapple, especially the chocolate covered pineapple drops.

Never heard of those…but sounds scrumptious. 😋!

You’ll have to get through me to get to the pineapple – I love it. Paul is probably tired of me thinking we should have pineapple on everything.

You need to move to Hawaii and manage the pineapple plantations.

I’d be thrilled with that situation – I could definitely enjoy island life.

I also like pineapple ice cream as well as chocolate coated pineapple. If you do this, I promise I will visit and buy your pineapple products.

But what about the bacon? It would add a nice, salty touch.

A little maple candied bacon would be perfect

Well, but Schooner looks rather curious than scared. 😉 Maybe he asks “Why does Choppy has a big pineapple, and I don’t?” 😉

Maybe! I’m not sure he wants a pineapple, though. Perhaps some bacon is more up his alley.

Pineapples can hurt.

Now I’m thinking of all the ways one can be injured by a pineapple. Eating the eyes (ouch on the tongue), someone throwing one at you, getting sick from eating bad pineapple (though is that a real injury?), etc.

Schooner does seem a little unsure of the pineapple although Choppy is unphased.

Choppy, as always, is just waiting for the treat (though she did not let me balance the pineapple on her head – apparently there is a limit as to what I can do to her).

It would take amazing talent to balance a pineapple on her head. Glad you didn’t try it.

Choppy gave me a “you’ve got to be kidding” look and it warned me off of trying. She does have her limits!

So cute. Schooner looks more interested in the forthcoming treat than Choppy does.

I actually had a toy of his in my hand – he would generally rather have someone throw something for him than get a treat. He might be the first ever cat-Lab mix.
