Adorable! I just love the pics you take of your very photogenic babies! There’s so much personality in your shots of this zany crew! They always make me smile…

And is it “nauti dog” or “naughty dog”? With sweet Choppy I believe the first is right.

I think it depends on the day!

Such a great capture of Schooner 🙂
And of course, Choppy wearing her life jacket like a pro. 🙂

Just don’t take any catfish from a dog – you never know where they might have come up with it.

Would Choppy enjoy some catfish? Sometimes it can taste a little muddy. It’s not as popular here as it is over there.

With the catfish, you just need to pay attention to where it came from. Most of ours is farmed, which doesn’t taste muddy. If you catch one in backwaters of a river, you should definitely just throw it back because it’s going to taste very muddy.

As far as I know, no one in Australia farms catfish. Our aquaculture is focussed on a few species, mainly barrramundi and trout plus Atlantic salmon off the coast of Tasmania. What I don’t like about the salmon is the use of dyes to make the flesh the salmon colour.

I didn’t realize they farmed barramundi, but it makes sense – I’ve seen them here the last year or two on menus when I never saw them before.

I’ve always believed barra that is farmed and snap frozen never tastes as good as wild caught and cooked within hours of catching. That is just the best fish you can ever have.

Fish you’ve just caught, no matter the kind, is definitely the best.

Cute. I have a feeling that Choppy is doing the “catch and release” style of fishing here. Good catch to get Schooner taking the bait. I didn’t know that it was “Go Fishing Day” yesterday, but I did take my dad fishing for Father’s Day. To him and my mom, every day is “Go Fishing Day.” LOL

Ha! My dad would like every day to be fishing day, but he has to do things like working around the house.

Mom and dad do too, but they would go fishing every day if they could. LOL

She’s not nauti! 😉 He’s the nauticat.
