All week, this giant piece of machinery has been sitting on the gravel road where we walk. Has it moved? Nope. That’s pretty much typical, except at least in this case, I’m not stuck in a traffic jam going through construction, wondering why no one is working.

The weekly instructions and warning:
Choppy is somewhere in the photo below. We will post an answer on Monday so you can see if you are correct in your guess as to her location. In the meantime, if you don’t want to know where she is, do not go look at the comments. They are full of answers. And poor guesses. But mostly answers. The people who comment here are excellent at this game.

Yes! Gotcha. 🙂
I often wonder about abandoned machinery. It’a amazing any roadworks ever get finished.

From what I’ve seen, you don’t have to do that much work if you’re in road construction – at least, you don’t have to do it very quickly.

Yes! We have 4 new sets of traffic lights awaiting installation near me. The poles have been up for over 4 months now – but still no lights! Doh.

Got half the story of our trip posted. Enjoy!

Just finished up that half – I really enjoy the entries, but it’s bittersweet. I’ve loved hearing all about your adventures living on the boat. It’s sad for me to see it go; I can’t imagine how tough it is for you.

Not what we wanted, but we have always been practical and sensible, and we have to think long term

All I can see is that gorgeous light! Such subtle color

Just say the sun got in your eyes and that’s why you can’t see her.

Excellent! I had one taken at the same time which was nearly impossible. I figured I would go with a little easier this week.

Either Captain Hook is hiding there, or I see a hook tail!

One more step, Choppy & no one would have found you! See her back “1/4” with her “trailer-hitch” tail.

Oh, there’s definitely a picture of her where she’s entirely missing. I figured I wouldn’t play a post-April Fools Day joke on everyone.

I like the golden glow in the background, Sarah. Machinery always adds interest in photography! 🙂

I think so – particularly like here, where it is otherwise very natural.

Yes, the scene is quite lovely but the equipment creates a great contrast. 🙂
