April showers continue – though rumor has it we may get some snow. And yes, considering how poorly they seem to do forecasting the weather, I’m thinking the “forecasts” are less “forecast” than they are “rumor.”
Date: April 4, 2017
Location: Home
Length: 1.3 Miles
Who: Sarah & Choppy
In case you were wondering if Choppy and Schooner interact while we’re away from home, this video should answer your questions. Of course, “interact” in this case seems to mean Schooner pesters Choppy (I think my favorite part is when Schooner runs after Choppy as she leaves).
AH nice to see them being friendly. Poor Choppy still itching a fair bit.

She is – it’s a lot better, though I don’t know if that’s the coconut oil and fish oil, or just that we’re getting some humidity back in the air and her skin isn’t so dry.

Aw Choppy is so pretty! 🙂
Funny to watch them “interact” 🙂

Only one of them wants to interact, as it turns out!

Just trying to give Choppy a bit of a rub to help with the scratching!

I like that explanation!

Schooner gave her a love rub – see, it’s not all claws and bites. 🙂
I wonder if Choppy has a chemical sensitivity? Food or the carpet, or maybe just dry skin, but all that scratching must make her uncomfortable, poor girl. 😦 I feel itchy just watching. 😉

I think it’s just dry skin – she doesn’t itch during the summer once the humidity goes up again. She used to have some spring allergies, but she hasn’t seemed to have those in years.

Good times ahead! I just put away our humidifier, it gets way too dry in the house in winter – the static alone is annoying. I think it helps everyone breathe easier.

We should probably get one – if only because it would help poor Choppy (and I wouldn’t complain about having non-dry skin, either!).

Not to mention staticky, fly-away hair – I hate that!

I think Choppy is allergic to the cat – that’s why she was scratching and why Schooner was feigning being friendly. He knew what he was doing.

Oh, Choppy would like that explanation!

I think Schooner was trying to help her scratch that itch. Poor girl. She’d itch, and he seemed like he was concerned and trying to calm her.

It does look like he is concerned. Poor Choppy has very dry skin still. Thankfully the humidity is going up, so she should get some relief soon.

Looks like Schooner is trying to tickle Choppy. 🙂

It is funny to see their video of what I would imagine happens multiple times a day!!

It probably does – we don’t catch it on film every day, though. Schooner likes to do it to Choppy if we’re all sitting near each other, like we’ll protect him if Choppy finally gets really tired of it.
