As part of last week’s Where’s Choppy post, I promised you a bonus Where’s Choppy this week – only instead of Choppy, this time you’re looking for a lizard. Happy lizard hunting!
(In case it is not as obvious as it should be, this is NOT Wisconsin – I took this picture at Fort Zachary Taylor in Key West.)

The instructions and a warning:
A random lizard is somewhere in the photo below. We will post an answer on Thursday so you can see if you are correct in your guess as to its location. In the meantime, if you don’t want to know where the lizard is, do not go look at the comments. They are full of answers. And poor guesses. But mostly answers. The people who comment here are excellent at this game.

Now I ask you why is this lizard that melds with the colors easier to find than black and white Choppy?! Forget about getting my eyes checked, I need my head checked. 🙂

Ha! It is easier to find him – perhaps I just need to find a black background with a little white and tan, and put Choppy against that. Everyone would find her quickly!

Cunningly disguised but I got him straight away. More by luck than good judgement – I just happened to start enlarging from the correct corner!

However it happens, luck or skill, you still found him!

Good camouflage! (9 o’clock)

I’m lucky I saw him move, or I never would have known he was there!

A little to the left of where Choppy was last Friday. Hope Lizard knows that it’s photo is on the web 🤣

I did fail to get any permission from him. If you see him, kindly don’t mention that.

Excellent! We usually see a few lizards and maybe an iguana or two when we are in Key West, but there were tons of them this year. I’m guessing there weren’t any more than normal, but we’re just getting better at spotting them – like me spotting this guy, who was rather large!

Sis and I had a go at breeding slow worms and lizards as kids. Our grandad converted an old birdcage into a holding tank for them, complete with little pond and foliage. Mum never forgave us for letting the slow worms loose under the outside toilet door when she was in there. Oh what brats we were!

Oh, but you still remember things like that – not appreciated at the time by Mum, but still something you think of all these years later!
How did the breeding operation go?

Failed. But it was interesting!

Next time, I’ll make sure to employ my lizard whispering skills to hide him ever more effectively.

Thanks! As soon as I saw how well he blended in to the rocks, I knew it would make a fun, extra “Where’s Choppy” post!
