Happy weekend! I hope everyone is having a great one so far. I am most definitely enjoying mine – it turns out, the cure for winter is to get on a plane to somewhere with palm trees. Works quickly and painlessly (well, depending on how hands-on TSA gets).

I’m pretty sure that an animal is doing something he or she is not supposed to be doing at nearly every moment of this one, because Schooner is not supposed to be on that table and Choppy is not supposed to be on the couch. I really just need to concede in this war.

The pets do wear you down with their stubborn persistence, Like you’ve demonstrated, they’ve only learned not to do it when you are there. Sigh, I’ve given up with mine.

I really should – the couch is dog fur central. I am going to keep working on Schooner, though – he is getting better (he stays off of most of the kitchen counters now, at least when I am nearby).

I recommend Sofa Scram Sonic Scat Pad from PetSmart. It is the only thing that works to keep Wren off the couch. Now I need an XLLL version as she’s taken to sleeping on the bed! “It’s always something!” 😉

Not much beach – Paul and I are too pale to spend much time in the sun. But we will enjoy looking at the ocean from the shade of many an outdoor bar!

Looking at the ocean is my kind of nirvana too, with a cool drink from under an umbrella. No beach for this pale Northern European! 😉

I think, besides bacon, that comfort is first and foremost on Choppy’s mind. Sitting on the table is Schooner’s way of appreciating it…better than sharpening his claws on the legs 😮😬😳

Glad you got to get away, and kept walking. As I have said before, I am horrible at exercising when I am on vacation. I finally conceded that Tippy was going to get on my bed when I wasn’t home and decided prevention was worth a pound of cure – I cover the handmade quilt with a sheet and let her get up there whenever she wants during the day. Not allowed to sleep with me at night or get on it when the sheet isn’t down.

This vacation was a really easy one for walking – once we got to Key West, we ditched the rental car so we were forced to walk!
