I think we need to keep our goals reasonable around here: Choppy and Schooner don’t need to be best friends, they just need to tolerate each other.
And how about a fantastic outtake?

Awesome outtake! What did Schooner hear or see?

He is looking into the kitchen area – Paul was doing something over there that caught his attention.

This almost made me lose my coffee. Thanks, Sarah!

Just so long as you didn’t actually lose your coffee – that would be bad!

LOL, love the outtake! They most likely are secretly best friend.

I don’t know – our spy camera doesn’t seem to pick up a lot of interaction between those two. Then again, if they are trying to keep it secret, they probably wouldn’t be caught on camera, would they?

Haha Schooner looking for treats? Fab pics 🙂

He was looking at Paul in the kitchen – he probably did think there was a potential for treats coming his way!

Schooner looks similar to a Meercat in that pose!

I agree Schooner, I think deep down, Choppy loves you, and you love Choppy too.

I don’t know – they sure don’t seem to like each other much of the time.

Maybe begrudging tolerance of one another is a form of love 😆

It’s certainly not indifference, and that is the opposite of love, right?

It’s certainly better than hate, and when the chips are down, they’ll probably work with one another.

Thanks! Schooner was looking at Paul, and I don’t think Paul saw Schooner doing this until I showed him the picture later.

It may not be love, but I’m sure they have some sort of feelings for each other. 😉

Sometimes good feelings, but often not-so-good feelings!

And I love Schooner’s Meerkat impression! 🙂

I will take tolerating any day – much better than active hostility.

He is expressive for a cat! I tend to think of cats having one look (indifference), but he has many more looks than that.

Yeah, they really are the master of the indifferent look, aren´t they? 😉 But being little furry geniuses they can change expressions whenever it serves their evil plans! 😉

This was hilarious, Sarah. Trying to catch up after three busy weekends. Mom is better from her pneumonia, we packed up her apartment while she was in the rehabilitation center with PT/OT exercises. she is all settled into a memory care unit. Phew!

Reminds me when we had a basset hound and a cockatiel. The bird would have been friends…but not the basset. Apparently tiny things with wings are super scary and not to be trusted.

Ha! I don’t know how Choppy would react to a bird. I’ve wanted to get a cockatoo for years, but we’re not currently in a situation where it would be good for the bird, as we’re on the road too much.

They’re so cute but they’re like having a toddler in the house.

A toddler who never grows up and (in the larger cases) can tear your house apart. And I still love them. I grew up with budgies and cockatiels, so it’s odd not to have even a little guy around the house.

Yes. Terrifying 70 year old toddlers. I grew up with them too. Ours got out about a year ago and flew off. We really miss her. It was just a freak accident.
