Schooner is the worst about the latter -he seems to think his best perspective while you are on the toilet comes from the back part of the toilet seat. That cat is bizarre. And really likes to get close to places no person or cat should be close to when certain activities are going on.
hahaha My dogs are not allowed even down the passage, so can’t get anywhere near the bathroom door, or else I’m sure I’d experience this too. 🙂
That said, there was a time when my 2 year old stood outside the door bawling her eyes out! There Are times when one needs to be alone! 🙂
Per Choppy and Schooner, we never need to be alone!
Choppy is so bad about the bathroom door being closed, I long ago got used to using the bathroom with the door open. Schooner took a cue from her, and now I will never pee alone again (except when guests are over, in which case I will pee alone, but with two animals outside the door, whining about the situation and sticking paws under doors – so only alone in the sense that I am the only one with his or her whole body in the bathroom).
I remember when we had our cats and they’d do that. One of them became so obsessed with getting in that she eventually learned how to head butt the door to nudge it open. Then she’d meow at me like the pain in her head was all my fault because I shut the door.
Ha! Choppy whines at the bathroom door if we shut it, so it only gets shut if we have guests or a rare occasion when I want the door shut bad enough to deal with cat paws and whining dog. There is nothing private in this house any more.
OMG! That is hilarious!
Like Scifi wrote… I remember trying to get into the bathroom when Mom went in. She said she gave up her privacy once she had us kids.
And yes… Karma has visited upon me the pleasure of two furry friends every time I use the loo!
I used to keep the door open, but Schooner would just attempt to play with all my makeup and makeup brushes, so he has been banished to the outside of the bathroom. I do play with him, though, so it’s not entirely a lost cause for him.
They just want to make very sure everything is OK! 😹 And not miss anything!

I guess it’s just fair – I mean, I watch Choppy pee and poop a lot. Plus, I pick up the poop. So that’s probably worse than what she does to me!

Oh, if he sticks it under the door, it regularly gets played with!

This is so typical but I allow my cat sitting friends to come in with me (Tayla and Kira). 🐱🐈
