Our Day 259 walk (the brief portion we spent outside) would best be described as blustery.
Date: January 13, 2017
Location: Home
Length: 1.4 Miles (but only .2 outside)
Temperature: 7° F (-13.8° C), feels like -6° (-21.1°)

It really is – but you need to dress warmly this time of year. Come summer, it’s also beautiful – but the weather is much improved!

Do you put a sweater on him?

Choppy was back at home – she was plenty warm there! It was just me out in the chill.

Doesn’t matter to us – I don’t think Choppy even knows what she is!

There is something quite mystical about early morning in cold weather. Love the bluish hued light.

I love the silence of that sort of cold in person as well – it just makes the scene even more mystical!

I was dressed for it! Now, my phone? It died right after this. It was not prepared for the cold!

If you can brave the cold in northern Wisconsin, you get plenty of rewards!

It is gorgeous! We are currently at 64°F today, so I definitely did my run/walk outside today.

We aren’t going to get quite that warm in the next couple weeks, but it’s going to be relatively balmy. I am looking forward to it – and the return of the sun to our walks, which should be happening in the next few weeks as well!

It’s one of my favorite areas in the world – we’re lucky to only live a few hours away!

Sarah, I am totally in awe of your commitment. Your Dog Walk Challenge is still going very strong. And as it mentions on this post of being blustery, you are keeping at it through all kinds of conditions.
So well done both yourself and Choppy! 🙂

The cold has not been the most fun in terms of walking, but it feels good to get outside for even a few minutes on these cold days. Much better than being cooped up all day indoors!

It really would feel good Sarah! 🙂

This is a beautiful photograph and the flatness reminds me of the Ohio corn fields and soy bean fields. Especially my alma mater, BGSU was flat as a pancake, except for one silly hill. 😀

It’s funny – this isn’t that flat of an area generally, but most of what you’re looking out over is swamp and water. If I had turned around to take the picture, you would have seen a hill covered in pine trees!

Oh, well there are a lot of flat areas in Delaware County, around Toledo and Maumee area (Wood County.)

Awesome! Thank you for following – we update our dog walks daily, unless we’re on vacation (in which case the updates come all together when we get a chance or get home). We’re up to Day 337 now!
