The cold is still here. I think it’s time to plan a trip to a warmer clime.
Date: January 6, 2017
Location: Home
Length: 1.6 Miles
Temperature: -2° F (-18.8° C), feels like -13° (-25°) – but we got cold after .2 miles and went inside. In related news, the treadmill was a stellar Christmas gift.
Who: Sarah & Choppy
Poor Choppy is just a play thing for Schooner.

Maybe Choppy will learn to walk past the ledge just out of paws reach? Hope springs eternal, right? Congrats on the treadmill acquisition. When it’s THAT cold, you definitely need it! Yesterday we got up to the mid-20’s but with a slight breeze, it was still bitter. Short walk outside but hopefully today will be more typically. Fingers crossed.

I hope it was better! That is darn cold!
As for Choppy learning not to walk past Schooner, I think that is asking a lot – particularly when it’s the only way downstairs!

Have just got back from my third walk round the Avenue and the temperature is dropping. Hubby had a nice hot cup of tea waiting for me. Aaahh, bless him.

Oh, nice! I think I should have Paul do that with hot chocolate for some of these walks I am on.

Stellar gifts are awesome, especially exercise related! Schooner has great balance & confidence. (South of Boston) 27° here, it’s snowing, we could be getting 18” of snow, blizzard, that’s ontop of yesterday’s 2″. ❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️ 💨💨

Yup, just measured snow on the picnic table with a tape measure: 18 inches. Shoveled 75 ft length of driveway with my son & all the paths!

Well, that’s one way to get in some good exercise!

How much snow did you end up getting? We really don’t get much here. Just lots and lots of cold (of course, my “not much” would cripple huge parts of the country if they were to get it, but I know it’s not a lot compared to many other places).

I bet Choppy is a good sport about it all, right? 🙂

She doesn’t really enjoy it, but it doesn’t usually stop her from walking by, either!

He is up there all the time. Poor Choppy was running the gauntlet last night again with him.

Easier now – the weather has warmed back up to something more manageable. It was almost warm on our walk this morning.

We only got to -2 with the wind factored in. You “win”…stay warm y’all!

Winner winner very frozen chicken dinner!
We’re warming back up now for the foreseeable future. I’ll happily take it!

It was 8 this morning. Some one is predicting near 60 degrees for Thursday (yea)…but some thing tells me we’re gonna pay dearly down the road if that happens!

My cat sits on the table at the entrance to my office and swats at the dog when he tries to come in. Dogs just can’t win. Stay warm! I heard after our recent cold snap we may hit 50 here in Maine on Thursday. That would be a treat.

Oh, that would be great! It was raining this morning for our walk. It was only 34 or so, but I will take that over the frigid temperatures!
