After some encouragement – thanks, Colin – I thought I should give you at least some statistics from the portion of the Dog Walk Challenge that occurred in 2016 – a mini summary of the Dog Walk Challenge from 2016. So here it is!

  • We walked 246 of the 366 days in 2016 (yay, Leap Year!).
  • This means we walked at least a mile on over 2/3 of the days in the year since I started keeping track in May.
  • We walked a total of 444.5 miles in 2016.
  • That means, on average, we walked 1.8 miles each day of the Challenge.

The Dog Walk Challenge was meant to be a month long thing, but clearly we’re well past that point now. Thanks to everyone throughout the Challenge for your support and kind comments – I know both Choppy and I are in better shape for this, and I would encourage everyone to start something similar, if for no other reason than your dog or dogs will thank you for doing so!

Now, back to the Day 249 statistics – there were plenty of us on our walk!

I’m pretty sure Izzy was just excited to get to chase Schooner around for a bit here.
