The Choppy/Izzy/Schooner sleepover went well (note: we define ‘well’ as ‘everyone survived’). Schooner developed a very fluffy tail and did his best Halloween cat impression several times, then decided Izzy knew who was boss and went right up to her and rubbed against her. Izzy had no idea what to do with that, because clearly, if the cat starts rubbing up against you, it’s not something you’re going to expect.
And then Schooner went back into Halloween cat mode.
I have no idea what that was about.
Anyway, everyone survived and is in desperate need of a long nap, people included.
Date: January 2, 2017

Length: 1.3 Miles

[Note: We’ll have a summary of the 2016 portion of the Dog Walk Challenge tomorrow – it got postponed thanks to the sleepover.]
Congrats to the survivors! Is that a screenplay on this experience in the incubator that I’m seeing? 😉

I don’t know if we all want to relive it long enough to get that screenplay written!

Glad all animals and humans survived the sleepover. 🙂

What’s up with the Butt shot of Izzy. I mean the face-off with Izzy and Schooner is cool and all that but I’ve been waiting for hours to see Izzy. And too funny that Choppy is looking at you. Were you holding a goodie? Happy naps. 🙂

Izzy was obsessed with Schooner – he spent probably the equivalent of a couple hours just staring at him. This is part of that time!

Those other two clearly do not understand photo time! Glad everyone survived. Who knows what goes on in a cat’s brain… I think they are naturally bipolar, which would explain the, “I’m a helloween cat, now I like you rub and then back to teeth mode”. 😻😾😻😼

Maybe they have multiple personality disorder, too! That would explain the sudden changes. And make for a fun television show. Or painful one, depending on which cat shows up.

Perfect close up, Choppy is definitely runway material 😉😄

If only someone would hire her – I am sure she would work cheaply. Probably for bacon or even other treats.

I’ll keep my fingers crossed that her talent will be recognized rather sooner than later! 😄

Hahaha glad everyone is alive and well (humans included) it must have been a fun night 🙂 I wonder if Izzy slept with her one eye open 🙂 (shame, I hope not)

I think she wanted to sleep with both open so she could stare at Schooner all night!

Schooner obviously wants Izzy to smell a little like a cat, if he’s rubbing up,against her. “You belong to me!” Fluffy cat tails are very funny!

Schooner’s gets absurdly fluffy – I wish I had gotten a picture, but I was mostly concerned with keeping everyone at a safe distance from each other!

Happy to hear no one got voted out. Glad Jeff Probst didn’t have to ask one of them to put their flame out. Although, that might have proven to be the ultimate reward challenge—all those paws! 😀

If this had been more than a temporary situation, I think someone might have gotten voted off!

Izzy walks in. NOW it’s a party. Sounds like everyone came out the other side ok even though we’re not quite sure about some of the behavior on Schooner’s part. I’m sure it made sense to Schooner…and Schooner’s tail.

We all survived – and Schooner didn’t even scratch too many people or dogs!

I love that she just sits where I put her and patiently waits for me to tell her to move, no matter what happens around her.

Excitement/worry. All came out unscathed, though!

Looks like all came out unscathed from the sleep over. Great close-up of sweet Choppy. BTW bravo for that 1.3 miles in the cold. Hugs and nose kisses

All are unscathed! And I wasn’t so brave for Day 250 (tomorrow’s post) – I walked about 1/5 outside before hitting the treadmill!
