I was getting ready to take this picture for Bake Cookies Day. I have a cookie balanced on Choppy’s head, and here’s the conversation I had with Paul:
Paul: You already did that.
Sarah: No I didn’t.
Paul: Yes, you did.
Sarah: [Looks through phone. Realizes that yes, I did do a picture of Choppy with a gingerbread man balanced on her head for Gingerbread Decorating Day. And then I promptly balanced some on Choppy’s feet and figured that’s enough of a difference to be post-worthy on the blog.]
She does not look amused at the deliciousness balanced about her person, lol. And where, pray tell, is the mischevious Schooner?

In theory she should as it would be cruel not to!

Good girl. Does she get to eat the cookies?

Nice cookies in any event. 😉

Amazing! The cookies wouldn’t last a split second with Orso.

The long-suffering Choppy… she shows such restraint. What is the reward for such disciplined behavior?

Oh my goodness she is so fabulous. That is amazing. You want to train a few others? You are so good. Cookies would never even make it to the foot with my fur babies.

I do hope Choppy got to eat the cookies afterwards.

This is a completely different photograph. The biscuits on the forelegs makes all the difference!

Either a) Choppy is the best behaved dog on the world or b) she doesn’t like gingerbread men.

She isn’t the best behaved dog in the world, but she is certainly at the upper echelon of that (because she most definitely enjoys gingerbread cookies – she is a dog with a sweet tooth).

A bacon treat definitely needed after that 🙂

Simple. A few tweaks and bingo – a one-of-a-kind original photo. Get it, C. What are you waiting for???

Choppy knows her patience in these things is rewarded.

I have to secure my gingerbread behind closed doors at night, so my animals don’t get to it while we’re sleeping. I am amazed at Choppy’s restraint.

She does enjoy them, too – I think she knows there are treats at the end of the road if she just cooperates a little.

Choppy is very patient. My Casey would have been eating the decos.

She really is patient for all these pictures. If only Schooner was half as patient and compliant, my life would be so much easier.

It’s always funny when a reader, such as your husband, has to remind you of the posts you’ve done. Ga! I get it also! 😫

I wish I could say this was the first time, but it definitely isn’t. I’m blaming Christmas-brain on it this time. Too much else going on to remember blog posts.

Yes, certainly another post-worthy photo! 🙂

Balanced cookies are a difficult dog task – she should get more than one chance to show off!

I’m sure Choppy doesn’t mind in the least – all the more cookies to eat! 🙂

Not in the least (though I think they are probably really stale at this point).
