At this point, all the days are chilly. I should stop saying it (I feel like when I was discussing how all our walks were in the dark day after day – that’s the case now as well, but the darkness is overwhelmed by the temperatures, so I don’t even pay attention to the fact that we no longer see any sunlight during our weekday walks). I should also stop saying that it’s chilly because the Day 230 walk is going to make the Day 229 walk look warm (I already went on the Day 230 walk, so I know of what I speak).

Ok, I’ve decided you really are the queen of chilly temps. I’ll stop complaining. We were a balmy 18 today! Stay warm. ⛄️

That is balmy! We’re getting to 19 tomorrow. I would be looking forward to it, except that means it’s warm enough to snow, so it is, of course, going to snow a lot. Right now it’s too cold to snow.

You’re temperatures are cold, but at least they are staying there and you can sort-of get used to it. We’re only in the 20’s today with wind chills in the teens. Saturday, it’s going to be in the 60’s! Crazy weather this time of year in E. TN.

We do sort of get used to it. And while it’s a little unusual to be this cold in December, we get these temperatures all the time in January, so we are pretty used to it. I just bundle up and head out. It feels surprisingly good to get outside in this sort of weather.

😀 ye, they’re awesome for people like me with cold floors and poor circulation. a tad itchy tho (kinda like wool), so best used as an outer layer if u wear two pairs of socks like me 😜
stay frosty i guess, idk 😂 😂

I don’t think we have any other option besides staying frosty!

It’s 55 here in California and I have my space heater on. I wait to walk the dog until it warms up!

Ha! Everyone here would be in shorts (as opposed to just that guy I saw walking his kids out to their car this morning).

Oh gosh..I don’t feel like returning to Minneapolis now..btw, does Choppy wear shoes when the temp that cold?

She doesn’t – she doesn’t like to walk in them. I keep a close eye on her when it’s this cold, because her paws do start to hurt. As soon as I see they are, we head home. She only made it about 1/4 of the walk this morning – I took her home and continued on by myself.

So funny Schooner is watching Choppy

He spends a lot of his time following Choppy and watching her – I think Choppy would rather it didn’t happen so much!

If it was that cold here my boss would have to force me out of the house to go to work. I’m afraid I’d have to quit every winter and find a new job in spring. It’s going into the 20s around here tonight for the first time this season and I’m already contemplating calling out sick tomorrow!

Ha! I would never have to work in winter! Wait, I kind of like this idea…

Okay, I am not going to even mention the temperatures here. All I will say is, if I were there, I would be curled up underneath the fattest warmest duvet. I am surprised Choppy and Schooner aren’t all curled up in blankets and warmth 🙂

I think Schooner would be in for a rude surprise if he went outside!
