It’s Choppy’s favorite day! Schooner? Not so much. (Also? All these pictures were taken this morning – good timing on Schooner’s annual visit to the vet!)

Choppy hates it just as much – I dread her vet appointments!

Oh, I am familiar with THAT look!! Hope Schooner doesn’t hold it against you for days…

He actually seems to like me more after it – I think he believes I saved him from those mean people who were poking at him.

I think she was thrilled that it wasn’t her going to the vet for once!

On The Floor…! LOL…thank you. I so needed this one today. Picked me right up out of my blah mood. Poor Schooner, but man, the expression on his face in the second pic? Priceless. And could Choppy’s grin get any more obvious? Oh, I do so love these two. Thank you for sharing them with us.

I love sharing them – they’re too funny not to share! And I’m glad they could provide a pick-me-up!

I hope Schooner’s check up went well and the vet enjoyed the experience 😂

My boys generally like the vet. They get treats!

Treats are not enough to make Choppy like it! As she gets to know her new one, she gets worse behaved (she has yet to refuse to get out of the car, but I’m guessing it’s happening this next checkup). At her one in Indiana, I had to put all the seats down in the car and eliminate anything Choppy could use to hide to get her out, as she refused to do so on her own. And even then, it was almost a two person job to get her out of the car. That dog is fearless when it comes to fireworks, other dogs, anything loud, but the vet and her shots? Terrified.

OMG! That was my 85# Akita!
First, I had to check if there were any other pets in the waiting room and get an exam room ready. Although she was social till age 5, she was attacked by a dog and since turned unsocial.
Then the carry in…. I would have to carry a wiggling, 85# dog straight into a room. If I had to wait in the waiting room, it would have been a pooped, chewed, screamed in room of torture!
I know your pain! 😣

I just wish I could make Choppy understand that the trip to the vet is helpful to her – if I could do that, I think she would be OK with it (even if she still didn’t like it).

Schooner must have enjoyed some fresh air! It must have been an honor driving with a famous cat in the car!

It was mostly annoying – he meowed the entire ride! I think I need to take him more places and get him used to it.

LOL, oh Schooner, I feel for you – I don’t like being caged up either! 🙂

I wonder if he would like the car more if he didn’t have to ride in his kennel?

They definitely have the facial expressions appropriate to the signs! Hope Schooner checked out well and Choppy was nice to him when he got back. (Hope I have my genders correct. Sorry if I don’t.)

You do have them right! Not that either of them know or care (or do I, for that matter – I regularly mess them up!).
And all is well – just Schooner’s annual appointment. We’ve been blessed with two happy and healthy pets!

Shame, Schooner does not look happy. I know mine, hate being put in the cat cage thing when they have to go. I think that stresses them out as they have no idea why or where or what is happening to them. Choppy on the other hand…..well, I guess he is chuffed he has some peace for awhile. 🙂

We keep Schooner’s kennel out and he kind of likes going into it – he was especially thrilled to go in it when the vet visit was over!
