I have no idea what this day even means.
It’s also National Scrapple Day. Paul loves scrapple. I think he is very disappointed we did not have any this morning.

I love scrapple and seldom have it. However, when I visit my brother and his family we have scrapple…it’s a scrapple house!

Paul always gets it when we are in Pennsylvania with his family – I had never even heard of it here in the Upper Midwest!

Paul and I are scrapple sole mates. Ha!

We really need an ‘after’ photograph. I just read about scrapple. I think Paul and I would get on well.

Perhaps you’ll get an ‘after’ photo this weekend- I’ll have to see about posting one (I owe a lot of posts right now – Serbia, a Corny Dog Jokes post, an outtake post, now this…I really need a couple days just to work on the blog!).

It’s a pity you can give up work and devote it to Choppy Blogs!

OK So I had to look up your link for scrapple!
And dare I say it – Schooner actually looks quite keen to sit on Choppy’s head, while poor old Choppy is totally unawares! 🙂

I had no idea what it was until a couple years ago!
And Schooner probably would happily sit on Choppy. Choppy wants none of it – she was not too happy about the situation after this.

Aw poor Choppy. I think she needs to invite LM over . . . LM chases cats and then you’d have no cat in sight! Choppy could relax for once! 🙂

Oh, Choppy would like that!

My son-in-law has made Scrapple a few times, they have a piggy raised & bring it to market, & he cuts it into all the porky pieces & they vacuum pack it & freezes it, so that they have pork for the year & make headcheese. All super yummy.

So cool that he makes it! There was an episode of Dirty Jobs where they made it – it was definitely a dirty job!

Scrapple indeed. I just read the link, sounds and looks awful, but each to their own, if you have to eat leftovers I guess scrapple is a good name for it. 🙂 I think chaos day is a fab idea, as it seems the world is in it on a daily basis.

I have never actually tried it – I probably should at some point. I’m with you that it sounds and looks awful, but if I am wrong, I should probably find out!

good luck with that 😀

I see some claws already to grab. Did it end well? 🙂

It didn’t end too badly. Choppy got upset, and then Paul put Schooner down and she kept thinking Paul was still putting him on her back when Paul was just trying to pet her.

Aww, chaos and scrapple are opposites as far as I am concerned. First is negative and second is yummy if you add maple syrup, Sarah! 🙂

I’ll have to remember that – I am definitely going to try some next time Paul orders it!
