One nice thing about our Friday walks in the morning – the construction crews that are out in force by our house get the day off. This means Choppy gets to spend a lot more time off leash and we don’t have to dodge heavy machinery!

Ha! It would have been an enigma to me even a few years ago. I’ve just started to get up earlier as I get older. The weirdest part is that I actually enjoy it!

I don’t mind getting up early if/when I wake up all by myself – which does happen sometimes [especially when I know I need to do things early]. But I don’t like being woken up early by my alarm clock.

Thanks! Since I started doing the Dog Walk Challenge, I’ve realized it’s much easier to get our walk done early. Then, I can get a second one in if I have time, but I am not worried about having to get one in later in the day.

Yup. They completely tore up a road right near our house (it’s a long road). They don’t seem to have much urgency in completing it.

We got another day of peace today with Labor Day – and in theory, they’re going to be done in the next couple months. I am looking forward to it!
