We’ve been seeing a lot of cranes this year – I don’t know if we’re just better at spotting them, or there are more hanging out around us.

It’d be nice if their numbers were actually increasing. We have so few good success stories with wild birds.

It would be great if this were the case.
One other reason we might be seeing them is that we live about an hour’s drive south of Horicon Marsh – it’s a huge place for seeing cranes (including Whooping Cranes). We may just see so many due to geographical luck!
