After a weekend where Choppy stayed at home, she returns to the Dog Walk Challenge (and Paul joins us as well)! It wasn’t the longest walk upon her return, but for the second day in a row, our walk was threatened with a storm – at least today, we didn’t get poured on for the last bit of it!
Date: June 6, 2016
Location: Home
Length: 1.3 Miles
Who: Sarah, Paul & Choppy
Aw, kitty kisses! Is Choppy warming up to the little devil?

I’m not sure – they have been playing a lot lately, and Choppy does let Schooner sleep near her sometimes. I’m not sure they are best friends yet (despite the cat thinking so), but they definitely get along for the most part.

That’s sweet.

How sweet that Schooner is giving Choppy a kiss. I bet Choppy was excited about getting back to the routine walk? 🙂

Most definitely – though she was not in the best shape after a few days off!

I’m glad you told us it was a kiss…it kind of looks more sinister than that!

It was actually two kisses – this was the second one, and the only one I even got a small shot of. If he does it again, I’ll try to be prepared!

She does! (I’ll pretend that some of that isn’t exhaustion.)

Well, look at it this way – an exhausted dog is a happy dog! 🙂

I’m pretty sure that in the blur, Choppy is biting Schooner’s face off…. *gulp*
Love and licks,

Perhaps she thought about it – but you can see Schooner is alive and well in the Day 38 Dog Walk Challenge!

Amazing colours in your first pic Sarah. Choppy is such a happy girl, and Schooner is just too cute welcoming her home. 🙂

Thanks! And Choppy is a happy dog – they were commenting on her happiness just the other day at the kennel. It makes me feel good that she seems to enjoy her life, because I try to give her a good one.

We’re getting a lot of menacing clouds out this way too and had thunderstorms yesterday. Makes it tough to get those walks in when the sky looks like it’s going to explode. Congrats on squeezing one in! I’m sure Choppy appreciated it.

Rain or shine, we do the Challenge!
Has it been cold out there? I feel like have had much better weather than most everyone so far this spring and summer. The last couple days notwithstanding, the weather has been almost perfect here for weeks.

Some dogs & cats never get that close so they’re doing so well! Gorgeous to see 🙂

Very true – they have no trouble getting close. There is even some licking going on. I’ll try to get some video, but they never let me know ahead of time that it is going to happen.

Ah, you can’t expect stars of their calibre to just perform on command, I guess 😉

Not without huge amounts of incentive, at the very least!
